Our Approach

Thank you for taking the time to find out about our day nursery.  We hope these pages help you make the right childcare choice for you and your child.

Our day nursery has been caring for young children, from babies to five-year olds, for over 26 years, and now has a reputation as one of the leading day-care nurseries in the Bradford area, demonstrated by our OFSTED grading.

Daisy Chain Nursery was founded in 1997 by Claire Heslop and her family when they purchased and then converted Daisy Cottage, which was formerly a residential home, into a dedicated childcare facility.

Why Us?

  • We offer parents high quality childcare, through a happy and stable environment in which their children are able to progress towards full-time education, well cared for and picking up key early years skills along the way.

  • Our day nursery has a highly qualified team of professional nursery nurses - with 7 NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualified nursery nurses,  4 NVQ 2 childcare assistants and 2 nursery assistants ( 1 training towards NVQ 3 and 1 training towards NVQ 2), and cook/lunchtime assistant -caring for your child.

  • We have extensive and well equipped outdoor facilities, including separate play areas for babies and for older children, a covered outdoor area allowing children to  play outside all year round, and a large sensory garden.

  • We believe strongly in partnering with parents for the benefit of each child. This involves regular two-way communication, including discussions, activities and ongoing communication.
